NVARC members coordinate and participate in many public service events throughout the year. Members regularly volunteer for the Boston Marathon, the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic bicycle race, the Townsend Lion's Club Canoe Race, the Project Bread Walk for Hunger, and the Jimmy Fund Walk. We coordinate and provide ham radio communications for the Groton Road Race, the Parker Road Race, the Groton Memorial Day parade, the Pepperell Fourth of July parade, and the Pepperell Fall Classic Soccer Tournament. We also participate in the Massachusetts Highway Department Adopt-a-Highway program.
